Problem is that you have maximum steering lock with BeamNG vehicles in use and with gamepad that is bit too much. Think that you want to have maximum usable range from your controller, most of movement should be possible to be used in normal driving, that should give you best control and resolution, if your controller has movement range that can't be used because it would be too much or movement that does not do anything, it is always away from resolution and with so limited movement range as with gamepad, you really need all movement to be meaningful. Then you can set linearity, which I use mostly to cope with unintentional turning when I'm braking, I'm using only one thumb controller for steering and throttle + brake, so while normally I would prefer perfectly linear steering, I set it so that small turning is not doing much, which of course is not the best thing to have, but I seem not to be able to steer and brake with two thumbs at the same time. Reason why I set start and stop to be below 10mph is because I want to know that 4mm thumb controller movement will result exact same amount of steering regardless speed I'm going, except when I'm going really really slow, like turning around, when I might want to have all steering possible. Usually something like 10-15 degrees is enough if driving fast.įor example if vehicle wheels turn 35 degrees 15 degrees is less than 0.5 which means you set limit to less than 0.5, you need to tune that for perfection. What I do is to use speed sensitivity setting, set it so that start and stop is under 10mph and then limit to amount of steering that is minimum amount you can cope with. I have loaded FSX and checked the rudder operation there and all is good - no problem so I conclude there is nothing wrong with my pedals.Click to expand.Problem is that you have maximum steering lock with BeamNG vehicles in use and with gamepad that is bit too much. I have followed all the advice offered by other forum members and tried multiple control and sensitivity setting configurations all to no avail.

I have checked the rudder (Saitek) properties in the Windows Control Panel and all is good, nice smooth operation. Looking at the rudder in the External View it is obvious that the rudder movement is not smooth - it moves in jerky steps and does not respond to the rudder pedals inputs as it should.

#HOW TO CHANGE JOYSTICK SENSITIVITY DOLPHIN UPDATE#
Since the update I have experienced the same rudder problems as others have reported - the aircraft is totally uncontrollable on the ground with violent swings to the left and right making it impossible to taxi in a straight line. I have been using MSFS20 (MS Store version) since it was released without any problems at all however that has changed since the 22 December update. Is it really too much trouble for Asobo just to write a short paragraph outlining precisely what each adjustment does? Apparently it is. The treatment of urban water is to be varied according to the sensitivity of. We are now having to grub around, discussing between ourselves what the added sensitivity settings are for. environmental effects and setting targets, procedures and procedural review. Very simple basic info, but supplied by the users, not the manufacturer.

I very recently gave this info to another user in the forum having the same trouble. I’m generally quite bright, but took me a while to realise you needed to select the “all” option when setting up joystick commands.

As far as I know, even this has never been copied on-line for non-disc owners.

FSX had a very full computer-based, well indexed reference guide.įS2020, as far as I have found out, has a very basic manual for the disc version only. I’ve still got the manual from FS2000 - 308 pages, including useful basic lessons from Rod Machado. I’ve learnt lots from the forum, very little from Asobo. I’ve searched Google, and the sdk would certainly be a strange place for a beginner to look to find out the basic way to run the sim.
